Confused about dieting?
It is no wonder Americans are confused about dieting with the number of good, bad, and indifferent diets and/or diet plans on the market today. Here is a list of just some of the diet plans that are out there, mind you, some of these are pretty good, some pretty bad. There is the 21 Pounds in 21 Days diet, 3-Day Diet, 3-Hour Diet, abs diet, Atkins diet, Biggest Loser Diet, Body for Life, Cabbage Soup Diet, calorie counting, Cheater’s Diet, DASH Diet, Detox Diet, Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet, Fast Track One Day Detox, Fat Flush Plan, Fat Smash Diet, Flat Belly Diet, Gluten Free Diet, glycemic index, Grapefruit Diet, Green Tea Diet, group plans, Hallelujah Diet, HCG Diet, high protein, Jenny Craig, Kashi GoLean Diet, Kushi Macro Diet, LEARN diet, Lemonade Diet, low carb, low fat, Magnetic Diet, meal replacements, Medifast Diet, Mediterranean Diet, Negative Calorie Diet, New Beverly Hills Diet, Nutrisystem, Ornish diet, Perricone Diet, Personality Type Diet, Pritikin Principle, Scarsdale Diet, Shangri La Diet, Skinny Diet, Slim Fast, Sonoma Diet, South Beach Diet, Special K Diet, Subway Diet, Thin For Life Diet, various university diet plans, volumetrics, Weight Watchers, and the Zone diet.
This list is not meant to be all inclusive and certainly does not include the many variations and derivations of many of these plans. One thing is for sure, some of these plans can truly help you to lose weight while others are nothing more than a scam to get your money. If you want to know more about one of these or other diet plans, shoot me a note through this blog and I will be happy to write about your diet of interest in a manner that is free from bias, easy to understand, and that welcomes open criticism or discussion from fellow readers. In the meantime, I will begin to write about these plans with a particular focus on those that I feel are useful and interesting. The bottom line is if you are planning to go on a diet, educate yourself and find a plan that suits your particular lifestyle and abilities. Focus on eating fewer calories while exercising more and living a healthy lifestyle. Changing your habits is difficult and changing your body requires a great deal of work, effort, and patience. Lastly, remember to reward yourself as appropriate for a job well done so that you can stick to the plan that you choose over the long haul.
